ABOUT

Yoga has been a part of my life for over 25 years.

My fitness journey began when I stopped smoking cigarettes. I was living in Los Angeles at the time, and developed asthma. I went to my first yoga class at the Sivananda ashram, to learn how to breathe.

I continued to practice. Loving how it felt to be fit, I became an ACE  personal trainer.

I then took my first teacher training with Rolf Gates, a 200 hour vinyasa teacher training in 2009. I decided to pursue yoga as a training method.

In 2019 I completed a 300 hour teacher training in Rishikesh, India, and in 2020 I  became a certified chair yoga instructor.

I continue to take workshops and since 2020 have been certified in  yoga for children and movement with arthritis.

Yoga has helped me get stronger, become more flexible & calm.

It has encouraged me to be in the present moment, and to become more mindful, in my daily life.

Yoga has taught me how to connect with my breath.

There is no end, or perfect pose in yoga. It is always about self discovery.

I love connecting movement to breath, and I incorporate different styles of yoga and movement in both my teaching & my practice.

Meditation and pranayama are part of my personal practice. I believe those also enhance your daily life.
